    About us

Project Ability grew out of a year-long project held in Glasgow, in 1981, to mark the International Year of Disabled People, and was registered as a company limited by guarantee with charitable status in 1984.

For twenty years we have been generating opportunities for people to create art and to exhibit and share their work with the whole community.

Each week around 350 people of all ages are involved in our programmes.

Click here for further information about our workshop programme.

    We are based at:

The Centre for Developmental Arts (CDA) - a multipurpose space housing:
    • Two Galleries (open weekdays, 10 am - 5pm)
    • Our administrative offices
    • The Trongate Studios (Project Ability's mental health project)
    • A fully accessible workshop with professional resources and facilities
