Duncan Wilson

Duncan Wilson’s paintings busy the eye with gregarious formations of fluid organic forms, while the lull of the background colour dulls the senses to reveal minute details of a nature that appears abstract in isolation. The central object acts as a vessel for containing ideas and the artist has an interest in minimalist aesthetics, whilst also embarking on a rigorous examination of human freedom through painting.

“There is a minimal aesthetic to this body of work and, with these paintings, I have used simple shapes such as a curve, a circle and a triangle to house the subject matter.” Duncan Wilson is a painter based in Glasgow.
