A day out in Cove Park

On Wednesday 26th August, a group of Project Ability artists went for a day trip to Cove Park, where our former Exhibitions Coordinator Lauren Printy Currie is doing a month long residency.

We left Glasgow under torrential rain, and were bracing ourselves for a (very) wet day. However, after taking refuge in one of the pods and meeting the wonderful Cove Park team, the rain stopped, the clouds disappeared and we were left with the most stunning view of Loch Long.

Lauren gave a very interesting talk about her work in progress and her residency, showed us her studio and where artists in residence live. After lunch, some artists went for a walk, meeting lots of interesting fauna on the way, whilst others stayed in the park and sketched their surroundings.

Keep an eye out next week for the Walking Group entry about Cove Park.

Many thanks to Lauren and to Cove Park's Alexia and Catrin for a really great day!
