Martin Sloss Untitled – Artwork of the Week #13

This week, we are pleased to bring you this interesting painting by Martin Sloss – an artist from our Aspire programme and a recent addition to our artists' directory.
Martin works from photographs and his painting is reminiscent of a Californian streetscape painted with unusual yet harmonious chromatic reality. Plentiful amounts of thick paint give Martin’s paintings an object-quality, repeating compositional formats that show only part of the picture or scene creating landscapes that have an abstract and a stylized quality.
