Project Ability is 30- Join our 30th anniversary fundraising campaign

Project Ability is 30 this year, and we would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to join us in year-long celebration of our organisation and everyone involved. The year will be filled with new exhibitions, opportunities, conversations, inspiration, connections and -needless to say – a fair amount of festivities!

It takes a lot of money and a lot of hard work to keep going, moving forward, creating new opportunities and maintaining the high standard that we set ourselves. We are hugely appreciative of the generosity of our artists, their friends and supporters who each year raise a substantial amount of money to support what we do.

This year, to mark our 30th anniversary we are setting the bar high. We hope – and this will take a lot of help – to achieve a target of £10,000.

Please get in touch if you have any fundraising ideas. If you think you may be able to help, we urge you to get in contact. You can donate safely online to our 30th birthday appeal on our Just Giving page.

We also have a number of sponsorship opportunities of between £5000 – £10,000 for some forthcoming major events, such as our publications, the end of year fundraiser, and a ground breaking international conference we are organising in March 2015. Please contact us if you would like to talk about sponsorship and we will send you a ‘benefits to sponsor’ pack.

During 2014 we are publishing two very important books. In October, we will launch a publication focusing on the artists who attend ReConnect – our arts and wellbeing programme for those experiencing poor mental health. The second, in November, will give people with learning disabilities an opportunity and a platform to tell their individual stories, while showcasing their outstanding array of artwork created in our studio.

To round the year off we are organising a big fundraising event on the 29th November 2014. It’s still a secret, so watch this space; more exciting details will be released in the summer!

It’s going to be a big year for Project Ability, and we’re thoroughly looking forward to everyone coming together to celebrate this landmark anniversary.
