SCVO Equality Internship Programme: Call out for a Film Assistant

SCVO working in partnership with BEMIS, CEMVO, Scottish Disability Equality Forum and Inclusion Scotland are creating up to 150 paid Internships within third sector organisations for unemployed graduates.

All applicants must:
-be aged 30 or younger
-hold a SCQF Level 8+ qualification (equivalent to an HND, first degree, SVQ Level4)
-be unemployed; either in the first 12 months of a benefit claim (pre-Work Programme) or 2 years+ (post-Work Programme) or unemployed and not claiming benefits (but must make a claim for benefits in order to apply for an internship opportunity)

As part of this internship programme, we are looking for a Film Assistant. You would be working alongside our film tutors in the workshop programme to support young people to make film, document and record daily activity in our centre in Trongate 103 and at venues where our outreach programme is delivered. You would distribute film work across our digital channels, and propose, develop and deliver a short film highlighting a specific aspect of Project Ability's work.

The post is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, and paid £6.31/hour.

To apply for an internship, you need to speak to your Jobcentre Plus adviser who can check your eligibility and give you an Eligibility Referral Form and Internship Application Form.

You will find more information about this post and how to apply on the SCVO website. Select 'Equality internships open to all graduates', and scroll down to find the Project Ability entry.
