Walking Group - Week 3

The Wednesday walking group were lucky with the weather again last week. There was a definite chill in the air but the rain stayed away, the sky was blue and the light was clear making it an ideal day for walking and for making photographs.

The group took a brisk walk up the High Street to the Necropolis at the rear of Glasgow Cathedral.

For some of the group this was their first visit and for everyone it was an interesting experience with several people remarking that it was a peaceful and relaxing place to be.

There were clear views from the top across the city to the hills beyond but the chill wind didn't encourage standing still for long so after some photos at the summit the group headed back down the path to base-camp at Trongate 103 to get warmed up.
