Walking Group - Week 8

With so many exhibitions going on in Glasgow for the Glasgow International Festival, the Walking Group were spoilt for choice in which ones to go to.

They started of with a short walk to the Briggait to see 'Reclaimed: The Second Life of Sculpture'. The large historic marketplace is crammed full of a wide range of artworks recovered from various locations across the country making one of the most colourful and varied exhibitions in this year's festival.

The next stop was an interesting new art space in a railway arch close to the back of the Citizen's theatre. Marked by a series of painted pink boulders is the entrance to an exhibition by a trio of artists including Project Ability's very own Lauren Currie.

Onward to the Tramway for some video works by Michael Smith and Bedwyr Williams. Unfortunately we are not allowed to share any photographs taken in those exhibitions but although Glasgow International has now ended the Tramway and Briggait shows carry on into May. Check http://www.tramway.org and www.waspstudios.org.uk for details of opening times.
