Live portrait sitting - Tanya Raabe-Webber

On Saturday and Sunday 16-17 January 2016, Tanya Raabe-Webber took over the gallery to paint one last portrait to add to her solo exhibition #SummitPortrayed.

The artist was joined by activists Nathan Gale and Robert Softley Gale for her first ever couple's portrait. The atmosphere was very informal, and the public was invited to engage with both artist and sitters, and to take part by producing their own portraits of the couple.

The whole performance was streamed live online via Periscope, where 86 people logged in and watched as the painting started to unfold.

Many thanks to Tanya, Robert and Nathan for what was a very positive experience. The portrait is now on show in the gallery with the rest of Tanya Raabe-Webber's work until Saturday 05 March.
