Get Onside

The Get Onside Programme is about helping individuals and their families who use or may use social work services to think about what makes a good life and develop the confidence to make good things happen. This is done by using sport as a way of promoting skills around Choice, Control and Decision Making, combined with classroom based action learning.

Get Onside is delivered by the Shine Partnership which consists of four organisations (Ceartas, Hansel, C-Change and Heartfelt). The partnership was established to work alongside the Scottish Government and Local Government to ensure people who use services, families and carers are at the heart of telling others about Self-Directed Support. The partnership’s key mission is to equip people to understand their rights within the new SDS legislation, become well informed, find their voice and become active participants in implementing self-directed support across Scotland.

This exhibition will showcase photographs by Brian Carroll, and a film produced by the Project Ability Media Unit (Sam and Max Mcilmunn, Alan McKeown).
