After-party: Thursday 4 March 2010, 9pm – late at Mono.
Mono exhibition: 5 March 2010 – 10 April 2010,
Monday – Sunday, 12 midday – 12 midnight
Grounded is a landscape exhibition by Project Ability artists. The exhibition explores the nature of the landscape that surrounds us, the physical environment and the memories connected to it.
The exhibition opening is part of Trongate 103 initiative ‘First Thursday’ and will be followed by a very special after-party at Mono.
Grounded at Mono is an exhibition and party organised by Alison Mitchell and Stephen McRobbie, and continues the long standing collaboration between Project Ability, Mono and Monorail Music and the shared vision to promote Project Ability’s outstanding artists amongst Glasgow’s music and cultural mavericks.
The Mono exhibition will be launched with live sets from Golden Grrrls and ‘Glasgow surf rockers’ Sparkling Shadazz, with David Bellingham and David Shrigley playing records into the night.
If previous events are anything to go by and you have a thirst for the alternative both in art and music, this after-party is not to be missed!
Previous projects have seen the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Remember Remember and Alasdair Roberts all supporters of Project Ability, donate their service in-kind for the event.
The event is free, with all donations going to arts charity Project Ability.
