HOMEP@GE
About Homep@ge:
Homep@ge is a visual arts project for young people who have experienced homelessness.
Homep@ge was set up in 2000 by Project Ability, an arts organisation that specialises in working with people who find it difficult to access mainstream activities.
The Homep@ge Project takes place in the form of drop-in workshops that run every Tuesday afternoon at Project Ability's base in the Centre for Developmental Arts in Glasgow City Centre.
Aims:
Homep@ge is specially tailored to suit all levels of artistic ability. Some of the young people who attend Homepage use the workshops for recreation, while others are keen to develop their skills with the intention of moving on to college or pursuing a career in the arts.
Opportunities:
Led by a team of professional artists, Homep@ge participants can:
- explore their own artistic style and create work for exhibitions
- take part in excursions
- develop art work to show on the diary page of this website
How to access Homep@ge:
People can access the project by being supported to attend through a number of homeless service providers such as:
- Blue Triangle Housing Association
- Quarriers
- Queens Cross Housing Association
Please contact us for further information if you, or if someone you support would like to attend Homep@ge workshops.
