Double Act

Double Act is a Project Ability initiative which brought together eight artists with very different working practices. The artists “doubled up” - working together to create new work for this exhibition.

From October 2007 - January 2008, each pair met regularly; sharing skills, expertise and exploring areas of common interest. This lead to the development of a shared arts practice with each artist taking an equal responsibility for the production of new work.

The eight artists partnerships and their very different experiences and artistic journeys have been recorded by film maker Kate Burton.
