    Mental Image

An International Open Art Exhibition Exploring Mental Health

Part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival

    8 October – 23 November 2007

It is estimated that one in four people in the UK will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of a year.*

To draw attention to the subject, in early 2007, Project Ability put out a call for submissions of artwork on the theme of mental wellbeing and mental illness. Artists from around the world responded to the call and this ‘Mental Image' exhibition is the result.

'Carnival of Souls' by Yvonne Weighand Lyle.

The selected works will go on display in Project Ability's two galleries from the 8 October - 23 November and will be accompanied by a film that documents the run up to the event and introduces some of the artists involved in the exhibition.
