Project Ability set up the Trongate Studios in 1994 to promote the positive role of the arts in mental health and wellbeing. The Studios are a resource for people referred through mental health services who have an interest in visual art.
The concept behind the Trongate Studios is that through active involvement in the visual arts in an emotionally secure and understanding environment, people will experience a range of benefits that can positively affect their mental health.
