We’re Project Ability Ltd; a Glasgow-based visual arts organisation which creates opportunities for people with disabilities and people with lived experience of mental ill health to express themselves and achieve artistic excellence. We obtain information about you when you:
- use our website, for example, if you register to receive one of our newsletters.
- request booking forms for one of our classes.
- purchase artwork from our on line shop or from our gallery.
- submit work for exhibition or sale.

If you make a donation online or purchase a product from us, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.

- to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us.
- deal with submissions for exhibition.
- process payments for sales of your artwork.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example the collection of Gift Aid). We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

When you are using our secure online donation pages or make an online purchase from us, your transaction is processed by a third party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about the vital work we do and our exciting products and services, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes situated on the form on which we collect your information.

Use of ‘cookies’
Our shop keeps track of cart data, and makes use of 3 cookies. Two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps the shop software know when the cart data changes. The final cookie contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies.
It is possible to switch off cookies by setting your browser preferences. Turning cookies of may result in a loss of functionality when using our website.
