Last November Glasgow played host to COP26 – an urgent United Nations climate intervention. To involve marginalised groups in the climate conversation, we worked with Stop Climate Chaos Scotland and SCLD to deliver banner making workshops across the country, from Dumfries to Shetland.
Eye-catching art work expresses climate concerns – such as plastic pollution and rising sea levels – and celebrates the world we inhabit, and all of nature’s gifts.
Visit
The banners will be on display in the Trongate 103 foyer from 15 January – 26 February
Access: entry to Trongate 103 is free. There are wheelchair accessible toilets.
Participants
In Shetland, our group was led by Vivian Ross-Smith. National Autistic Society, Garvald, the Tayside Health and Social Care Partnership, Gossip Collective, Sense Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway Council Youth Enquiry Service and Corseford School also had groups participate – with adults, young people and children voicing their views on the climate crisis.
