EDIT EDIT

Project Ability presents a unique exhibition of experimental film shot with Super 8mm. Devised, made and curated with Alexander Storey Gordon and artists from our ReConnect programme.

The exhibition focuses on the production, process and presentation of experimental approaches to Super 8mm film and moving image.

Super 8mm film is a medium that favours trial, error and mistakes, embracing them as an essential part of the creative process. The exhibiting artists took part in a series of walks and workshops led by Alexander Storey Gordon, with the aim to re/introduce participants to this medium and a variety of ways of creating, manipulating and thinking about moving image. ‘EDIT EDIT’ uses this versatile material as a way to interact expressively with our surrounding environment and engage with the idea of time and movement within this environment.

This exhibition is part of the 2016 Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival (SMHAFF).
