The Create programme engages with children and young people with disabilities in a wide range of creative activities including visual arts, film and new media.
We deliver activities from our fully accessible and specially equipped Trongate 103 workshops as well as outreach programmes with partners in health, social care and education.
All of our activities are tailored to the individuals we work with and are fully inclusive. The professional artists who deliver the programme are highly experienced in working with young people with a wide range of support needs.
Support
We provide a high level of support and will typically offer a ratio of one artist to five young people. Young people with personal care needs should be supported by an appropriate adult. Creating a fully inclusive environment is important to us and siblings and friends are welcome to attend our classes.
We work with individuals, families, schools, voluntary sector groups, museums, galleries, support agencies and other visual arts organisations and welcome new collaborations and partnership working.
