George Stevenson

George Stevenson's ceramics are formless objects rejecting any specific shape and behaving according to their own aesthetic and material properties. Made in collaboration with artist Sally Hackett, these sculptures refer to the mysterious and living side of objects, their passing moments, tracing the interaction of their creation and an overlaying hint of organic processes.

"Each piece can be interpreted in so many ways – a landscape, funghi or a mystical creature but the fact it is simply a shape is what appeals to me the most, creating subconscious curiosity and endless possibilities.”
-Sally Hackett, April 2013
