Last week, Art Trek and Friends artists Gary Turner and John Cocozza with tutors Sandi Kiehlmann, and Iona Grey organised a day of free taster workshops in Trongate 103.
Participants taking part in Project Ability‘s workspace learnt about stained-glass techniques and were able to experiment with their own ideas. The technique was glass outliner and paint on perspex squares to create a stained glass (cheat) effect based on 1960’s textile fashion design
The workshop in Trongate 103’s Foyer produced a wonderful banner, with spring like flowers and leaves.
‘The Spring Banner workshop began with participants drawing from botanical illustrations, then they developped their drawings onto coloured and bonded fabrics, using paper cut techniques.’

Funded by Glasgpw Life the banner will soon be exhibited in Trongate 103.
