During the last Connect block, tutor John Fitzpatrick taught an oil painting workshop to a small number of artists.
Over the course of three weeks (one day per week), the artists learnt the different stages of oil painting, from 'toning out' (painting the board in a burnt umber background colour), to mixing and applying the colour. The artists, who work from photographs, were mostly interested in landscapes and portraits. Check out our Facebook page for more photographs.
