This week, we are very pleased to present a portrait by David Bradley. David experiments with traditional methods of portraiture in his work by applying crude marks depicting the temperament of his subjects in a way that reveals a theatrical intensity. Recurring characteristics in his paintings are the prominent red nose which he applies with a quick stroke of the brush. Bradley’s subjects are always past figures or family members representing his own personal history.
