The Saturday Create Zoom Sessions are now in full swing with tutors Susan and Tracy working with our youngest participants. Over the past few weeks, everyone has been exploring techniques and themes around texture and colour.
On week one, the group was encouraged to find textures in their homes by finding interesting objects to create rubbings from. This resulted in some fantastic and unexpected results!
On week two, everyone created their own fun printing blocks, again using household objects such as rice, pasta, string, sticky tape, bubble wrap and cardboard.
In week three the group used these objects to experiment and create beautiful, colourful repeat pattern prints.
Week four seen our young artists explore texture and mark-making in a new way; working with air drying clay they created textured and patterned animal tiles!
In week 5 it was all about painting! The group painted their animal tiles along with their printing blocks.
The group still have three more weeks of this current block of workshops and we can’t wait to see what else they create!
