As well as the core workshops that happen year round at the Project Ability studios, our tutors also deliver a range of outreach workshops in a variety of schools, hospitals and day centres. Alison has recently been delivering art workshops to a group of adults at John Street House.
It was another great block of workshops. The artists began to work on things for two or three weeks this time rather than doing something new each week. So their work was a bit richer for the time spent working on it. The paintings on canvas were really beautiful and the artists have them proudly in their rooms. One thing that went down well was the introduction of the salad spinner! We poured paint onto discs of paper and spun them really fast to make fabulous patterns. It was so fun and people paired up into spin teams for optimum spinning effects!
We finished the block with spooky tea and cakes. A big thanks to John Street House and to East Dunbartonshire Council.
