Grant Glennie

Join us in the Project Ability gallery on Monday, October 20th, from 1-3pm, for the reception of Glennie’s solo exhibition, ir/regular

Grant will be giving a talk about the exhibition at 2pm on October 20th, the first day of the Scottish Mental Health Arts festival. All welcome.

My name is Grant Glennie, I’m a neurodivergent artist based in Glasgow. I am influenced by a wide variety of things, sometimes subjective and personal. My work often involves exploring the system continuum between highly ordered and highly disordered. I have been part of project ability since 2010, when I was first referred there by a community psychiatric nurse. I make art because it can help give me structure, purpose and improve my mental wellbeing. I enjoy learning through art about everything and anything. I work primarily in a number of mediums but retain a computational, rule based and systems approach.

Recent notable exhibitions include:

2025 ‘ir/regular’ solo exhibition at Project Ability, part of SMHAF

2022 ‘Reconnect’ at the The Travelling Gallery

2022 ‘Unlocking the Extraordinary’ at the Project Ability gallery in conjunction with Outside In and Glasgow Museums.
