On Wednesday the 17th of January the walking group had their first outing of 2024. We crossed the river to see a group exhibit titled “Blue” at Stallan – Brand Architecture + Design. This was a lovely group show with jewellery, ceramics, fabric and craft items. We all really liked the wall of blue masks, this show featured two artists who have been residents at Project Ability, Sarah Kudirka and Lauren Bryden.
We then went to Wasps South Block gallery at Osborne Street to see a group exhibit by Wasps staff. This was a fun playful collection of watercolours, photography, textile and printmaking. Each staff member had a unique style and the work was a lot of fun to look at especially the painting titled “Dog” with some littles gnomes up to mischief. They have reopened as a coffee shop again so we were able to sit in and enjoy a hot drink and chat as a group too!
