Illustrations for Your Organisation

We collaborate with organisations to create original illustrations that bring ideas, values and messages to life. Working closely with our artists, we can respond to a brief, follow brand guidelines and produce artwork that feels both distinctive and purposeful.

One of our largest illustration projects was with SCLD (The Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities). They commissioned a group of Project Ability Aspire artists, Cameron Morgan, Doreen Kay, John Cocozza, John McNaught, Jonathan McKinstry, Joseph Sharpe, Roddy Woods, Scott Smith and Steven Reilly, to design a range of graphics and illustrations as part of their new branding.

The artists worked to a shared brief and colour palette, creating a vibrant and cohesive set of illustrations. The results were brilliant, and the artwork is now used across SCLD’s website, emails and documents.

Commissioning illustrations through Project Ability is a way to support learning disabled artists and artists with experience of mental ill health while developing visuals that feel thoughtful and unique to your organisation.

Illustrations for Your Event or Publication

Project Ability in Glasgow has teamed up with the Counterflows music festival to create artist profile images for the festival’s zine, bringing a distinctive visual layer to Counterflows’ experimental programme. Artists from Project Ability re-imagined musicians’ submitted profile photographs in their own styles, with a selection of portraits featured in the Counterflows on Paper zine and exhibited in Glasgow, celebrating collaboration between visual art and music.

The project demonstrates how commissioning Project Ability artists can add originality, warmth and inclusivity to publications and events. By working with the studio, organisations gain access to skilled artists who offer fresh perspectives and handcrafted imagery—an ideal way to enrich zines, programmes, campaigns and exhibitions while supporting inclusive creative practice.
