On the 31st August 2012 Project Ability, Common Wheel, Solar Bear and Universal Comedy launched “Art in the Gart”. The four arts organisations with the support of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde North West Sector Mental Health Services are working together to support the development of a creative campus within the grounds of Gartnavel Hospital.
“Art in the Gart” wants to make the best use of the grounds and buildings on site to increase access to meaningful high quality arts activity to support mental health recovery and well being.
The launch was a participatory event, open to patients, clinicians and the local community and was a mixture of performances, discussion and consultation.
