Artwork of the Week is this beautiful little ceramic ‘Snowy Owl’ by Mhairi Macdonald. ‘Snowy Owl’ is part of our current gallery show, The Ceramics Exhibition.
Mhairi Macdonald loves animals and has a great talent for creating them in ceramics and through painting and drawing. She has been coming to the Project Ability studios for several years and in addition to making art here at Trongate 103, she also does a lot of arts and crafts outwith Project Ability.
Also included in our current exhibition is a beautiful ceramic hare, also made by Mhairi.
Her artistic talent has continued to develop and we have very much enjoyed having her as part of the Project Ability team. She has helped us out in the gallery as an invigilator and is a great supporter of the work we do. Her love of animals is her inspiration in her art making and we look forward to seeing her practice continue to bring these lovely little creatures to life!
The Ceramics Exhibition is up until June 24th. With over 40 Project Ability artists included, this show has got something for everyone to enjoy.
