This week’s AoTW, comes fresh from the workshops – ‘Still Life’ by Lesley Nimmo. Lesley’s work has directness, first moves are never painted over and with these first gestures, the painting is finished right there and then. Her colours are counterintuitive, visual hierarchies played with and the rules of perspective discarded – as a result a poised and self-assured new image creates itself.
