Our Artwork of the Week is this beautiful depiction of the Kelpies sculptures in Helix Park, Scotland. Designed by Andy Scott, this sculpture has come to embody Scotland and is a much loved visitor’s attraction. The sun is setting in this painting creating a serene yet strong composition. The painter, Peter Stewart, works in Project Ability’s ReConnect studios, and currently has a selection of his work on show in our Gallery II. With a wide range of subject matter Stewart paints beautiful canvases which often depict a delicate landscape or city scene. ‘The Kelpies’ painting by Peter Stewart is a wonderful example of the artist’s attention to detail and patience with his paint and brush.
