We have come to identify Duncan as being a skilled landscape painter but he also creates very distinct portraits like this series of Roger Moore and Others, portraying Roger Moore as his James Bond character and other actors who have starred in the series.
Made on coloured paper, the drawings are built up with simple block lines of ink depicting cartoonish figures caught in quasi-narrative situations; poised, shouting or contemplative.
Duncan has also added discernible details; one appears to be wearing a decorative collar, showing the artists ability to give representational form and character to his drawings.
