Artist John Shankie has now been “in residence” in Trongate 103 since Tuesday 30th August. John has invited three artists from Project Ability’s inspirational Aspire programme (for adults with learning disabilities) to explore the galleries, the exhibitions and public spaces in the building. He will share their journey in an artist talk on the 1st September at 5pm. The talk will be followed by the opening of our new show Home Works (6pm – 9pm).
This residency is one of a series of short residencies programmed as part of Everyone@Trongate 103. Everyone@Trongate103 is an action research programme exploring public engagement and access throughout Trongate 103; in particular how visitors with profound and complex learning disabilities occupy and inform the space.
