ReConnect Walking Group: Street Level Photoworks

Our walking group didn’t venture too far afield last week for two very good reasons. Firstly, the weather was pretty inclement and secondly, there are some excellent exhibitions in Trongate 103 that really shouldn’t be missed.

The first port of call was Street Level Photoworks to see the wonderful work of Mandy Barker in her exhibition ‘Our Plastic Ocean’ – a photographic study of plastic pollution in our seas. Once there, the gallery director, Malcolm Dickson, kindly gave us some background information about the show and the artworks – and (delightfully!) the group were photographed as visitors of the day and featured on Street Level’s social media. We recommend that you visit the exhibition at Street Level, or view Mandy’s exhibition virtually.

After Street Level the group headed up to our very own gallery at Project Ability to see Cameron Morgan‘s joyous paintings in ‘Are Ye Dancin… Are Ye Askin?’. These really are pictures to lift the spirits and get the toes tapping on a dull, wet day.
