Last night we had a reception in the gallery for our newest exhibition, ‘Abundance’. Project Ability artist Erin Keogh, one of the three artists in the show, came along with many of her friends and family. We would like to thank everyone for making the evening a very special one. ‘Abundance’ will be touring to Manchester and London over the next year, and it will be in our gallery until November 5th.
‘Abundance’ is a collaborative exhibition between three support studios in the U.K., Project Ability in Glasgow, Venture Arts in Manchester, and ActionSpace in London. We invited fellow artist Sonia Boué to select one artist from each of our three studios:
Erin Keogh – Project Ability
Chandrakant Patel – ActionSpace
Kathy Wilmott – Venture Arts
Over the next few weeks we will be making a film with Erin and her mother Fiona, which will focus on Erin’s studio practice, and the way in which she is supported in the studio by her mother. The film will highlight the truly amazing way in which Erin creates her paintings, and the physicality of the creative process. We will be holding another event in the gallery to show the film once it is finished, on November 3rd.
Below are a few photographs taken at the reception last night.
