Volunteer’s week of thanks: Emily Gorman

Another volunteer that deserves a special mention this week is Emily Gorman. During this challenging time of lockdown Emily has been of great support in the production and editing of our ‘Fun Friday Films’.

Working alongside her mum Tracy Gorman, one of our tutors and our volunteer co-ordinator, Emily has enabled her mum to make these films, who by her own admission had no experience at all of film making before the outbreak of Covid 19. Without her support to both film and edit, Tracy would have been unable to create the films that were made as a tool to reach out to our younger participants at this challenging time for us all.

Prior to lockdown, Emily has also been a familiar face within our Saturday morning Create workshops, where she has been volunteering to support our youngest participants as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Huge thank you from us all at Project Ability Emily! Thank you for bringing the fun to our Fridays!

We would like to of course also thank Tracy for being our wonderful volunteer coordinator. Every year Tracy coordinates an extensive programme for volunteers to develop their skills and make lasting relationships within the disability arts sector. Thank you from us all!
