Walking Group Visit South Block
On the 24th of April the Walking Group visited South Block. We saw Louise Scott’s exhibition ‘ Small Worlds & Curious Journeys‘. Printmaker Louise was inspired by Victorian zoology, with pages from textbooks collaged with her own prints on the walls. In bell jars she displays sculptures including a birds scull and another piece Incorporates text books and a 100 year old stuffed jay bird. We then utilised the good weather to walk along Glasgow Green to the newly cleaned fountain, returning via The Barras. We took in a few murals along the way, including the pathway which lists every act to play at The Barras until around 2013.
