A visit to The Modern Institute and Southblock
Our walking group always enjoys visits to The Modern Institute galleries. The staff make us feel very welcome and the artwork is always interesting and beautifully presented. This week we were treated to an exhibition of photographs by Anne Collier in the Osborne Street venue and sculptures and paintings by Yuichi Hirako in Aird’s Lane. Both shows run until 21st May and full information can be found at The Modern Institute
After this we popped into South Block to see what was on there and found some paintings by Yelena Visemirska and a large sculpture by Stuart Jackson. These works will be on show until 23rd June – Fragments of Reality – Stuart Jackson and Yelena Visemirska – Wasps
