Walking Group visit Tramway

Our walking group always tries to get along to Tramway exhibitions and this one by Rae-Yen Song did not fail to please. The vast gallery space has been transformed into a colourful underwater world occupied by creatures both huge and microscopic, with artworks made of ceramic, glass, textiles, sound, light and moving images. The exhibition runs until 16 August and information including opening hours can be found here – Rae-Yen Song 宋瑞渊 – •~TUA~• 大眼 •~MAK~•

Upstairs we found ‘Stories from Our Streets’, an exhibition including ‘One Day in Govanhill’, a photographic project by Greater Govanhill Photography group. Also a huge map of the area covers one wall, with stories of memories relating to places on the map written on post-it notes added by visitors.

We ended our visit with a sit down for some chat and refreshments in the café.

This project is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
