Art Matters

Art Matters is a supported group for older young people to meet, socialise and create great artwork. Young adults aged 21-28 who are independently driven in their work can access this programme; whether you are interested in painting, drawing, ceramics or any other visual art come along to our weekly workshops and develop your creative skills and ideas.

Workshops run in blocks of eight weeks, four times a year.

Time – 4:30-6:30pm
Age – 21-28yrs
Cost – £65 per block of 8 classes

Create Visual Arts Classes

Create Visual Arts Classes

Access a professional studio environment and get support to develop your creative skills and ideas. Explore a range of techniques and materials including print making, painting, ceramics and textiles. Workshops run in blocks of eight weeks, four times a year and take place in our centre in Trongate 103.

We run four classes:

• 5 – 8 yrs: 10am – 11am
• 8 – 12 yrs: 11.30am – 12.30pm
• 12 -18 yrs: 1pm – 2pm
• 18 – 21 yrs: 2.30pm – 4pm

Cost: £55 per block of 8 classes

Thanks to generous support from the Short Breaks Funds, Project Ability will be hosting a year long programme of monthly visual arts activities for children and young people with Down’s syndrome aged 5-20 and their families on the first Sunday of every month.

Come join us in the Trongate 103 Foyer as we explore paper wig making, inspired by Project Ability’s current portraiture exhibition and wigs throughout history. Make and take away your own wig to wear as you explore the rest of the festival!

Working with 2 of our Visual Arts Tutors, Project Ability will offer an inclusive visual arts activity for families with children of all abilities aged 5-18. These are drop-in workshops with a capacity of 10 participants at any one time.
