Over the past few years, Scottish Youth Poetry Slam has commissioned Project Ability artists to create a fun and distinctive trophy for their annual competition winner. Each year, the brief is the same: something joyful, creative and completely unique. Previous designs have included an engraved ceramic tile, a sculptural trophy made from handmade Scrabble pieces, and most recently, a playful Lego trophy, each one reflecting the spirit of the event and the artist who created it.
Commissioning a trophy or sculpture through Project Ability is a chance to support learning disabled artists and artists who have experienced mental ill-health, while adding a meaningful, handmade artwork to your event or organisation.
