We are delighted to present a Solo Showcase by Sian Mather. Mather is a multi-talented artist working in Project Ability’s ReConnect studio. Her style crosses several mediums and combines new ideas with the traditional. The result is a harmonious and intriguing mix of aesthetics. Working between fine art and craft, Mather’s practice produces beautiful artworks admired both for their creativity and technical skill.

Working with ceramics, painting and textile, Mather has an innate ability to put her hand to many different materials. With a keen eye for composing the surface of a canvas, her subject matter varies, often paying homage to artists of the past; artists whose work has had an influence on her.

This exhibition is a mix of some of the many artworks Sian has created over the last year, and in a few cases, the last several years. We are proud to be sharing Mather’s work in a solo exhibition for the first time; and have no doubt it will be a popular exhibition.
