Doreen Kay has recently shown new embroidery artwork in our gallery exhibition, ‘Stitched’. Many of these artworks are shown below. Her textile work is a new venture for Doreen, starting during lockdown from the comfort of her home. She has taken to it amazingly and her creations are superb. The textile piece ‘The Cat Speaks’ is part of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2023!

Doreen shows painting to be a free practice depicting the most treasured and simple pleasantries: figurative, photographic, decorative, nostalgic and meticulously recalled scenes from holidays, landscapes, films or iconic on-screen relationships. Doreen uses a sharp clear colour palette and minimal depth to create fresh and contemporary portraits and landscapes.

Many of Doreen’s artworks are for sale in our gallery. Get in touch if you see something you are interested in, exhibitions@project-ability.co.uk
