Doreen Kay attends Project Ability's Aspire programme.
Doreen shows painting to be a free practice depicting the most treasured and simple pleasantries: figurative, photographic, decorative, nostalgic and meticulously recalled scenes from holidays, landscapes, films or iconic on-screen relationships. Doreen uses landscape painting a storytelling device and her uncomplicated style and markedly mute palette unfolds into an experience that is quiet in content but large in resonance.
