This beautiful painting of flowers in a vase by Margaret Jackson is our Artwork of the Week. Painted for our current exhibition, Flora and Fauna, it can be viewed in our gallery until the 23 December when we close for the holidays. The colour palette in this still life, with the different tones of blues in the backgrounds, and the rich reds and bright whites of the flower petals dancing in the foreground, create an atmospheric and peaceful composition. ‘Flowers in a Vase’ is painted on watercolour paper, in mixed media and sized 33 x 24cm.
