It’s our first Artwork of the Week of 2019! And instead of the usual one image/one artist we have chosen one image each by ActionSpace artists Thompson Hall and Ian Wornast. On the left we have ‘Tate Britain’ by Thompson Hall. On the right is Ian Wornast’s ‘Euston to Glasgow’.
Project Ability is delighted to be exhibiting both of these artists’ work in our new show titled ‘My Life In London’. This show was originally exhibited in London at the Southbank Centre, and Disability Arts Online have written a wonderful review of the show. Made possible by an Unlimited commission, Hall & Wornast spent six months researching through exploration of the great city of London. Each artist approached their paintings from different points of view, and together they make for a fascinating depiction of the city.
This will be Project Ability’s first show of 2019 and we are delighted to announce that the two artists will be in the gallery for an artist talk later next month. More information on that soon! These two artists’ work compliment each other extremely well, both graphic with a heavy use of pattern and repetition. The colours are fresh and vibrant and it is the perfect way to open our 2019 exhibition calendar. The show opens on Saturday the 12th with a reception on Thursday the the 7th of February.
