Artwork of the Week is this beautiful mixed media drawing by Kwok Kin Chan. ‘Pink Boat Flower Sail‘ measures 30x30cm and is available for purchase from our current exhibition! The artist is based in Edinburgh and works at the Garvald Studios. We’ve been in love with Kwok’s artworks since we first saw them a few years ago. Now partially sighted, Kwok works very close up to the surface of his artwork and create a beautiful dream like quality. He very often references the folds seen in origami and he also regularly practices origami. His colour palette is bright but not harsh, and his compositions give just a hint of the subject matter while allowing lots of room for the viewer to imagine the subject.
