Artwork of the Week is this bright and beautiful ‘Butterfly’ created by Vincent May. This mixed media painting is a klecksograph. Klecksography is the art of making images from inkblots. Vincent has done an amazing job with the colours for this artwork, with brilliant orange paper setting the whole picture alight!
This klecksograph butterfly is part of our Young Talent 2019 exhibition, up in our gallery until the 14th of September. With at least one artwork by almost every young artist in our Create programme, it is a wonderful show with a huge variety of techniques and subjects!
