Create Open Day on Saturday 20th August

 

 

The Create Open Day is a family event that will coincide with the end of the Young Talent 2011 exhibition. There will be a series of workshops for children and young people with disabilities aged 5 – 25yrs.

5-12 years

– 10-11am: Marvellous Masks – Use fabrics, coloured papers, sequins and more to create your very own fantasy mask!
– 10-11am: Plasticine Portraits – Make a plasticine portrait of yourself, a friend or your favourite character in only 1 hour!
– 11.30-12.30: Custom Bags – Create your very own canvas bag! Use printing and drawing techniques to personalise your very own tote and use it everywhere you go!

12-18 years

– 11:30-12:30: Quirky Collage – Enjoy this great opportunity to experiment with collage and drawing techniques to create your very own accordion book.
– 1-2pm: Custom Bags – Create your very own canvas bag! Use printing and drawing techniques to personalise your very own tote and use it everywhere you go!

18+yrs

1-2pm: Glass plates – Using specialised paints to decorate one of our glass plates, or why not bring along your own favourite glass piece to transform on the day!

All young people under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. Workshops cost just £1 (pay on the day) and can be booked by calling 0141 552 2822. Places are limited so early booking is advised.
