Walking group: Glasgow Green

artists from the walking group looking at artwork in an exhibition
Our walking group had another outing on Wednesday with a lovely wander to and around Glasgow Green. We decided to pop into The Modern Institute in Osbourne Street on the way to see the current exhibition by Andrew Sim. The gallery staff let us in through the back door as the front door of the gallery has a step so was quite inaccessible for Ruth in her wheelchair. They assured us that they do have a ramp but unfortunately they weren’t able to find it. The gallery is a beautiful space and the exhibition was great fun and enjoyed by all.
We then headed off down the Saltmarket, enjoying the shop windows along the way. We were once again lucky with the weather so we were in no hurry to get round the park. There was lots of birdlife to be seen including crows, swans, mallards, coots, geese, goosander and of course plenty of pigeons.
We plan to have another Clyde riverside walk next week but will be heading west instead of east.
